The trouble is... it's not I never practise that... at times... you can't save it coz you are right in the middle of a long process (that can't be saved halfway...) This piece of advice was what I give to all others in my line of work the last time I worked in an organization... lolz!

One example of a long process... drawing the lines of a really complicated design to be created into a vector form... Something that can only be completed in 5 mins or so...

practising what we preach is sometimes harder than we think!
I know I sometimes get careless and forget to save as well. Luckily I don't do any heavy work (eg. animation, drawing, serious editing, etc) on the office PC

Also... you can't always save every 10 mins... you'll be accessing the HDD like crazy! Sometimes got lag one... Waste of precious time when you're rushing... Plus wouldn't that be like wearing down the HDD faster?

It's not I can't afford newer PC (in fact I did buy a new one last nov I think)... the trouble is when you port over to a completely new system (new OS, new hardware, new this and that)... some of the older files and work projects will be quite trying... old hardware (Printer/scanner/cutter) will face driver hiccups, etc...

Plus I dun understand why Adobe don't continue supporting Freehand...(sulk and big time suxs) since they bought over Macromedia...

Till now I still haven't port over to the new PC... slowly making sure file formats / fonts don't get screwed up... e-mails... webpage bookmarks... etc etc... It will be a year until I can completely move over - but not without hiccups and some curse words...

Last week, while shopping for hardware stuff at SLS... when to OP to check out ninja bags... got poisoned silly by:

Ninja bag for the bamboo (hood reversed) and whatever DSLR size you can throw into it...

Started with the Grip 14 poison (D90+60mm)... then ended up looking at the Grip 18....

    Very light weight!

well.. company needs to make money.. buy over means they can earn more thus they will take their own sweet time to merge them into one.

well.. if you are using those super old printer, scanner etc.. new pc usually no longer support that already..

Old hardware probably still can use... unless they don't work under Windows 7 (64 bit)... but leh-che leh! Need to hunt for drivers, etc, etc...

I use both Freehand and Illustrator... but the new CS5 Illustrator I'm not accustomed to it yet... Not sure if all of Freehand tools have been adopted... Some of FH tools very hard up to give up one... Sometimes I cross over just to speed up a certain process...
