alternatively, you can organise a "Actual Day Wedding Photography Outing" TFCD from all participants.

yeah.... you won't want to risk even having just one weird stranger attending your important day.

it depends how serious you are about the photos...
for me I'm the 'bo chap' kind.
If it were totally up to me, I wouldn't really bother with a photographer or videographer...
But must come to some agreement
I will definitely get someone I know... I feel that rapport is important as well.

    haha
actually i am ok if it is open to ppl i know eg in sunchaser n poison. but need to ask the main fotographer if he is ok to.

cause ultimately he need to "perform" to the job so if all/too many end up will block his angle and he cant submit also problem.

you can ask Manita if she wants to give it a shot.
She did ask one day if there are any events/weddings to shoot.

Though lacking in experience, I'm sure she'll come up with many good shots as the additional photog

Can't agree more. Lots of guests take it to the extreme.

I had to tell the main photog (at a friend's wedding) one time not to worry about blocking my shot, and just go for it. That guy was too nice...

this is my suggestion. Let the paid main photographer do his/her job and duties to dutifully capture important moment or events during the wedding. Do a itinerary for your actual day. Create a list of must have shot. Bring these 2 things and discuss with your ad photographer so that he/she is ready for what is going to happen and what are the things you want your photographer to capture.

Then get a friend photographer as a backup or compliment to your main photographer. This person will have to work together with the main photographer to cover angles that he won't be covering and the surrounding activities and happening that is not part of the main event that you would still want to capture. A sort of way to capture the "side" event or happenings during your actual day that you won't know or too busy to know.

sound like a gd plan. so not overlap. arc of fire fully cover. nice

but before anything.... ask the main photography if he is ok 1st haha.

looking at his work, i am sure he can do wonder but some behind the scene is something main will not cover as he will be covering me.

anyway let me talk to the main and see how. even go also will be 1-2 pax nothing more. else become crowded.
