Canon EOS300D with Nokia handsfree set

Saw on the tips and tricks for the Digital Rebel that u can actually use the wired earpiece for handphones as a shutter release button as long as u snip off the earpiece part.

Anyone tried it?

Juz another poor guy who wants to save a couple of bucks.

maybe my headset is screwed but when i plugged mine in it immediately started firing my cam without me pressing the button.

same problem as i got. think have to DIY some cables setting.
upon some considerations with the limited settings, can't be bother to DIY.

Think u have to cut off the earpiece part first.

Anyway, to the hardcore hardware hackers. Here ya go. Cable diagram for the camera hack. I juz need dat soldering iron frm my friend now....

Take note the stereo plug is a 2.5mm head and not ur regular 3.5mm stereo plughead.
