Default D70 - Firmware 1.02

Hi,

For the D70 owners who have upgraded the firmware. Before upgrading my firmware, I see:

A: 1.00
B: 1.01

After upgrading, I see:

A: 1.00
B: 1.02

A bit diff from what is expected from the website. But shooting works fine tho. Do u all see the same after the upgrade?

Thanks.

I upgraded mine and see

A: 1.01
B: 1.02

There are 2 files to upgrade.
You should upgrade both.

You have to upgrade the firmware A / B seperately. Delete the B file from your flash card and leave only A file in the root dir.

You should now be able to select upgrade from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1

All digital cameras are like miniture image processing computers, each with their own CPUs and software. The firmware is an "application" or "software" that controls the various components of the camera as well as the processing of the images.

Updating the firmware helps to improve the performance of the image processing, the camera's electronic components or may be necessary to fix bugs (errors).

It's like updating your computer OS lah! Just that the firmware OS on the D70 is solidstate firmware that is updatable by user. And the system also allows you to revert to the older version if the new version gives you problem. How nice!

it seems that you only updated using the "B" file, the firmware update comes with two files. do update the "A" file and should get A:1.01, B:1.02
