    Question First Shot for animals

    Hi all,

    I took this pic at Jurong Bird Park.



    Camera setting is

    Aperture : 5.6
    Shutter : 1/60
    Iso : 320


    1. in what area is critique to be sought?
    Anything about this photo.. exposure??

    2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
    I want to achieve what should I do next time. And, how should I put my setting.


    3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
    cloudy day.I like nature thing.

    4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
    I think this is my best shot for animals.

    Exposure is good, DOF could have been a little shallower, perhaps f/4? Maybe you can try to tighten the crop a bit to emphasize more on the bird. As for focus/sharpness, can't really tell since the image is rather small. Good attempt

    Good attempt. Other than cropping tighter, you could make the colors slightly more saturated as the colored feather seems slightly dull.

    TS, as mentioned a tighter crop works better for this picture. Perhaps you can try enhance the color.
    I have downloaded the picture and taken a look, seems the parrot not sharp enough. I did some minor touchup of your picture and see if it works for you.

    Yeah. I took with small aperture because I want to make the background blur.That's why.
