bring it to marina barrage and drop it into the water....

'Nikon' tripod is not sturdy enough. Never underestimate the value of a sturdy support.
anyway just make do until you decide to buy a better one. Use the free tripod to hang your packet of kopi or whatever...

2 words of advice. Change it.

Seriously, the freebie tripod is so shaky tt you dun need a strong just of wind to shake it. All it needs, is just a gentle breeze.

    Now 3 letters for you...

    BBB!!!
You want cheap and reasonably good tripod, can try looking at Sirui.
*ps: Gosh... I'm turning into a Sirui fanboy.

Hmmm okay! Most likely will be getting one after my pay day haha! Anyway, if wanna manual focus, just turn the switch of the lens to M can le right? And why is there a stupid line when I see through the view finder. Hmmmm

The line only appear when I turn on the camera. When I turn on, there will be a line below the center focusing point.

Lens mode to M and camera body also to M. I usually make sure both are at M.

Stupid line? You mean lines? If they're lines, it's the viewfinder grid display. To turn it on or off, consult your user manual. If it's just a single line, then I dunno alrdy. I think I too long never shoot alrdy.

If you're keen into landscape photos, a sturdy tripod is essential. Good to do some research around the forums to find out which one might suit you better. Also can try making a trip down to TK photo to see their range and test them out. As for the line..... i dont see it leh. I only have the grid lines
