Default Why there are so many WTS posts for D7000??

D7000 was just released in SG last month and I cant help but noticed that there are already a lot of users selling after only few days or weeks. I thought its a great cam to own and Im really tempted with those WTS posts.

Any idea you would like to share pls? Thanks in advance.

Impulse purchase or they need the cash? I bought one myself and found out it had either a faulty mic or speaker as I can't record sound on video mode. Luckily Nikon was willing to replace my set.

these r the reasons i can tink of:

    1) buy le, then shoot, not fun/images not as gd as they expect not because of the camera, then sell it away
    2) buy le, then hand itchy wan better, wan FF, so sell it away for FF upgrade
    3) buy le, realise no money for other stuff. then try to sell it away

a simple conclusion: they juz buy without thinkin bout the future. in short, impulse buying.
Google is your friend. Make use of it.

why is there a thread asking "Why there are so many WTS posts for D7000?"??

ps. the wts price looks more expensive than the brand new one.

    1) impulse buy could be one thing.

    2) buy on cheap then resell on slightly higher price (claiming little to no use + intact warranty) due to low stock availability is another ... christmas coming around mah so sales probably ok.
    (sorry to pop anyone's bubbles)

    3) Batch 1 of the D7000 is known to have issues esp in video regarding having hot pixels and not focusing with Tamron lenses.
I am not sure if Tamron will release new lenses to be compatible or nikon will release firmware to get compatibility.
With regards, to the hot pixels issue, Nikon said that the 2nd/later batch will be fixed.

so these first batch sellers might be trying to sell off their copies with the evident hot pixels to non suspecting buyers or those who dont care much abt video so that they can get their hands on the later fixed batches.

    (sorry popped more bubbles)

    4) some finding that using the D7000 seem to be getting less sharp images esp for those using third party or kit lenses.
Apparently, due to increased megapixels (16mp on D7000), there were suggestions that better quality glasses are now required to bring out the best.
Some may not know this and think that the D7000 is not as good
Those who know may not have enough cash to get better lenses and finally see some light in the "quality glass better than new body" idea.

Best part is they put 'Brand new set' but used..
How can a brand new set be used? Isn't that a 2nd hand set?
    Lol

Nikon is like Apple. Can resell at higher price, due to high demand. This is indeed good!

Check out those ppl selling SB-900.
Now, you can get it at S$590 brand new.

And they sell brand new and 2nd hand at S$590 / S$600.
    What are they thinking?

So people know how to identify the hot-pixel, some people don't.

    So there is buy-sale-buy-sale-buy.
    NIKON D90 (2008-2010), D700 (2010-2012), D800 (2012-2014), DF (Dec 2013-Sep 2017)

Thank you so much to everyone who shared thier thoughts.

After learning all the possible reason for selling D7000, I think I will pass on this model
I feel that the main issue for me is the hot pixel because its a hardware and software prob?

Correct me if I am wrong.
Hot pixels are/maybe seen in video mode under certain dark condition and with lenscap on.
Are you going to shoot with your lenscap on then or is it your hobby to shoot video of a tire in the dark?

I just got my D7000 yesterday and so for have not checked for hot pixels. My initial test shots came out clean even after zooming in past 100%. I may or will not use the video function. I did not buy a dslr to shoot videos .

Sometimes certain things get blown out of proportion, so much so that all the great performance in this camera were undermind.
