    hey guys

not new to photography but new to manual lens

    alright

i just bought a d200 and since d200 is famous for metering non cpu lens so i wanted to try it with a manual lens that my father had

    my father uses a yashica FR1 with a Carl Zeiss 50mm f1.7
so i wanted to try the lens on my nikon d200 but the thing is the lens uses a contax/yashica mount

is there any like a nikon mount adapter for this lens?

Not sure if you can. Nikon f-mount has one of the longest flange to focal plane distance (46.5 mm). So you can mount Nikon lenses on other cameras, bit mounting other lenses on Nikon bodies is not going to work. At least not too well.
The Yashica mount has a flange to focal plane distance of 45.5 mm. So, once you add the thickness of the adapter it doesn't look possible.
