Default Manipulating white balance...

i'm able to set the white balance manually for my cam. but while i roughly know wat it does (create more natural colour) r there any techniques to, say, add more contrast?

e.g. for a stone building in sunset, the stone looks really orange, but my pictures dont show it very well. can i change my WB so the picture becomes more orange-y?
