Default Olympus C750

I don't have the C770 but I used to own a C750, but have just sold it 2 weeks ago to get the FZ10. Still haven't got mine FZ10 yet, but I will tell you why I decided to go for the FZ10.

The C750 is a very solid camera. It can take good pictures and have good 10x zoom.

Having 10x optical zoom is one thing...being able to use it effectively is another. That is why I decided to sell of my 10x optical zoom Olympus C750.

The question you should ask yourself is do you want to carry around a tripod all the time. This is because above 5x zoom getting a good & sharp handheld shots is almost impossible unless you have a very very steady hand! That is where Optical Image Stabilisastion(OIS) comes in. Read from many users that Panasonic FZ2 have MegaOIS that really works like a charm. You can handheld and zoom in at 12x and still get sharp pictures. This is partially help by the bright Leica lens that maintain F2.8 even at 12x Zoom!!! Did I say "LEICA" lens? Having a Leica lens on my camera is really something!! If you are really into photography, then you will reallize that Leica is like the Ferrari of lens!

I myself would prefer the FZ10 over the C770 because the FZ10 has full manual control and even a manual focus ring on the lens barrel for manual focusing which so far all the Ultra Zoom model don't have.

I just try out the FZ2 the other day and I can't stress how great is the Venus Engine are. My previous Olympus C750, once you snap a photo, it takes about 1/2 a second to 1 second for the picture to appear on the LCD and to be wriiten to the XD card. But on the FZ2 which utilise the Venus Engine, you don't get those lag at all....its instantaneous. Trust me that you will love the instant respond! The XD card is a killer on your wallet too!!

Anyway, go to the link below and there are many FZ10 users there with many sample pictures and many opinons, and hope that will help you decide.
