    Default Photoshop Action - Layout

    Hi,

Not long ago I saw someone doing some album layout with Photoshop and he uses the Actions to generate the layout. He opens a blank template file that has space allocated for 3 photos and 3 individual photos (Lets called them Image A,B & C), so there are 4 files opened in photoshop. Upon playing a saved Action, the 3 photos will automatically be inserted into the template according to how were the images were open. (E.g. Image A,B & C ; Image B, C & A)

Does anyone knows the formula of creating such actions OR which is function that does the linking and insertion? I have tried to search online but cannot find any info about it, maybe I have used the wrong keywords to search.

    Please advise...big thanks

Hi, Not sure if is this what you meant:

    Download Action: http://hotfile.com/dl/87713275/5bdbb...nto_1.atn.html

    1) Create a new background template
    2) Open 3 images
    3) Load and run the action.

Note: Background template should always be the first image to open.

Oh...just managed to download the file after a few try. Thanks!!!

Never thought of recording window selection as part of an action...I always thought it is one of the function in the drop down menu. Shall give it a try...
