F828 has mechanical zoom ring.. F717 is electronic zoom ring.

Of course F717's zoom ring can be changed via the menu because it's electronic where F828's zoom ring mechanical which cannot be changed the direction of the zoom.

Mechanical zoom ring is good.

Hi Bunor
Maybe I use the wrong wording, my term on mechanical mean that we actually zoom the len manually by hand, rather than using the electronic zoom, T & W button (Tele and Wide)

mechanical --> rotating ring to control the zoom position --> more precise.
electronic --> toggle button T & W --> hardly to get precise position and slower response.
