RuthBaby,
I am using 300D + Sigma EF F3.5-5.6 70mm + Sigma DG 500... For the handshake...I admit that... I still cannot solve this problem...probally need a faster lens... obviousdude, Yup, I fired without Flash for some, juz wanna test out wat is the out come... seems like...sometime not much different as the light is good enough... Do give some good or bad comments... ![]() |

i'm very much a noob, so i won't be able to give you useful comments.
you could try numbering them when you post them so that it's easier for others to reference them. i like the 2nd last one, with the 2 girls. imo, nice tight crop, eye contact. just find the image alittle dark for my personal liking. colours seem washed out as ruth pointed out. |

I noticed that most of the models were placed in the center, try taking the images off-center to have some variance.
Also to look out for background lighting, which falls on some of the model's head ... distracting spot light. You got all the facial expression right, keeps up the good works. ![]() |

obviousdude,
Thanks for the comments. Think I really need to take note on the color. The setting I use is ISO 400, F4, 30s, Flash(sometime)...what is the combination most people use in this situation KNIGHT ONG, Thansk for the comments! ![]() Appreatiate it a lot...what setting you recommend in this kind of event? ![]() |

its your shutter speed of 1/30s... rather slow to hand hold. some people can do it shooting at wide angle but anything more tele will pose problems.

Noticed that...would try to improve on that...but my Sigma lens only allow F5.6 when in tele... sigh...
Using Flash seems like a bit "hash", the color just simply different... anyone know how to do slow sync on DG 500 Super with 300D? I am still learning.... ![]() |

By slow sync i assume youre talking about the flash light going off at the end of your relatively long exposure. Yep... my Canon D30 is like that, but not sure about 300D. Try maybe? |

Hmm..
I find that the 300D flash is a bit under power.. Recommend 420ex (or 550ex - if budget permits) to go along with it. Use a white card to bounce the flash. Would give a fairly good result. My 2 cents worth... ![]() |
