Default Review: Home-modified Infrared Flash Unit

    Video Missing

Crossing Bridges 7 in Cebu-Bacolod-Iloilo brought together 80+ photographers from 6 photography forums and communities in South East Asia

Got the chance to see a few home-grown inventions and innovations ..... one of which is this manual flash unit modified to output infrared

This works with regular un-modified digital cameras but the effects are much more pronounced in a IR modified camera

The man behind this mod is Harlim who is already well-known amongst the IR circles around the region as THE man to go to for IR conversion jobs

A regular full-manual off the shelf flash was used in this mod job

I understand that its not just ripping off the front of the flash......... the gas in the tubes inside were replaced as well as the filters

These images were shot with a regular un-modified digitial camera

I'll ask Harlim to send me an image executed WITH this flash unit AND an IR camera

ha ha this is a review thread ...... and even as Harlim is a friend ...... this will not become a retail/selling/MO thread. You'll have to find him yourself if keen...... google or 'search' engine is your best friend.
