Default batch processing

how to batch process images in photoshop cs ?

i looked at the Batch function and it seems it can only do certain functions...

for photoshop 7, you create an action first then it will appear in the choices of batch processing..

i just edited 1 photo so frm there how do i create a batch?
do i need to save the first 1 then can?

you need to store all the photos u want to edit in a designated folder first, that will be ya 'source' folder. Then u go to File>>Automate>>Batch and select that folder as the source folder.

Try reading Photoshop Help By pressing F1 in photoshop, it explains pretty well.
