Thread: Using just 1 filter for 2 lenses?

Each of my lens will have its own UV filter, and most preferably multi-coated ones. And I have learnt not to use cheapo UV filters as they tend to flare.

But I would get only 1 circular polarizer to be shared among my lenses.

Good to hear that. One of the most important reasons for using a UV filter is to protect the lens. You cannot save this type of money. Even an inexpensive lens deserves a filter for protection.

You can save this money and invest in care and attention The rest of your gear will benefit as well. But that's an endless debate and finally a personal choice. Some people need the feeling of protection and will pay for it.

Hi, A good lens needs a good filter and a cheap lens, a cheap filter. But, both lenses need a filter each for convenience and protection.
