Lastly, we have this black fungus dessert! Seriously, this is the first time i'm having this dessert. White fungus dessert is everywhere but it rare to find the black one and most importantly, it gives a "WAHHHH" feeling.

I'm nursing a cold and a sore throat.... on empty stomach. The prawn, duck soup and toufu looks super shiok man.

Haha, maybe can make a trip down for dinner with friends or colleagues?

The duck soup and BBQ prawn is nice. The prawn is being boiled in seawater first before being BBQ-ed.

Actually one of the more stunning dish is the brinjal. It actually taste quite different from what we usually eat. It seems quite common from the looks of it but you will find it surprising. In fact, the claypot rice is what the restaurant is famous for. Do try it!

Another nice claypot rice i would recommend is the New Lucky Claypot rice from Clementi.

It is presented with a generous serving of chicken and salted fish.
The salted fish is not the dried one, but the fresh one.

First time visiting this carrot cake stall which had been famous for a long time.
This stall is famous for adding chye poh and ikan billis into frying of the carrot cake.
You can smell the strong irresistible fragrance just by sitting around this small coffee shop located at 1 Telok Kurau Road.
$3 for a plate of carrot cake might seems a tad pricey for some people as compared to the usual ones which cost $2-$2.50 outside. But judging from the fact that you have a reasonable portion of ikan billis and chye poh inside, it's definitely worth it.

Why not spend a bit of time to travel there and have a plate of carrot cake in order to taste a difference in your life?

1 Telok Kurau Road (Corner of the stretch which is opposite of petrol station)
    Only opens till 3pm.

watermarks are good for copyright. But try not to blend in with your main subjects, most watermarks are usually placed on either 4 corners of the photo. Like the "Black Fungus Dessert" photo, it doesn't blend with the subject, it's small and not distracting.

Char bee hoon (stir fry) and bee hoon tng (bee hoon soup) are usually what we always eat.
Happen to came across this coffee shop with a very big "Bai Mi Fen" (white bee hoon) signage right on top facing the main road.
The bee hoon they serves is neither dry nor soupy.
It may look a bit whitish and pale (which is why it is called white bee hoon) but it gives a feeling of Japanese ramen, clear soup but full of flavor concept.
The coffee shop basically serves normal sze char stuffs but the bee hoon is what eaters patronize for. It's worth a try for people who loves bee hoon!

Made my way down to the "going to closed down" Tanjong Pagar Railway Station!

Deliberately go down to have a plate of indian rojak. My personal opinion is that the rojak is slightly pricey but it holds a nostalgic taste in it especially when u are eating beside a railway track.

Overall, not to bad to grab a plate while it's still there, at least something for us to remember for the railway station.
