Default Different WB Temperature in Different brands

    hi all,

i noticed something whilst comparing photographs taken with DSLRs from the different brands (namely canon, nikon, sony and pentax so far), which is that the auto WB for each camera seem to work out to different color temperatures for a similarly composed shot.

i.e. my sony usually comes up with something skewed towards yellow, nikon/canon towards magenta, pentax towards blue.

just wondering from a techy POV, is it due to the on board rendering differences, or what else?

Auto WB can be adjusted in some models.
