Default HONG KONG: "Please Give Generously"

"Please Give Generously"

PS: Taken in Hong Kong 3 days ago. Rich folks there are rich; never have I seen that many Rolls Royce+ other posh cars before...on the other hand...

Probably need to crop a little. Was doing this at 1/11s exposure, hoping to get some motion blur. Didn't notice the woman on the left tho

I can't really determine the gender of the beggar on the street, but this shot if i have discerned properly, shows some sort of human irony. You can clearly see that there is a woman with a bandana seemingly giving a donation to the man adjacent to her, "selling flags" here in Singapore.(However, i'm not really sure that what she's doing is what i had interpreted....=p) The irony comes from the fact that there is a homeless street beggar right behind her to whom she could given the donation to (well both of them would be possible) But the picture to me conveys that human irony really does happen, and i like it. Nice shot stephen.

Ooooooooh , nice capture ! I like the irony involved , just wish i could see more of the begger. But really nice play of mood by the blurred rush of humanity.

Nope, can't do 1/13s with the M, hehe....wish I brought it out, would have given it a bit more feel to it

Was shot on digital, converted to b/w in Photoshop. Dodged the faces and burn in the background to bring out the subject... will probably be re-doing another version of it when I have the time.

Waited about 15 minutes for the "flag seller" to get near the begger... reality was that more people took note of the begger than the "flag seller".

I prefer to let the picture speaks for itself actually...unless explanation is necessary...

er, u don't need an L lenses to get that kind of sharpness. Just need a software like breezebrowser to apply sharpening when you resize, it will be sharp For street photography, sharpness isn't everything...

w-o-w i especially like how the old man isn't the main focal point at first glance... reflecting the true reality of his life... ::clap::

Reworked it...burned in the woman pointing somewhere...cropped a little title, see if this one works...

Bit of a cliche, but here goes...
