    Yeah man, sibeh sian. I also abused to death a AF-S 17-55 quite quickly. From then on, no more "pro gear". What is pro-gear in my book, more $$$ down the drain.

    But then I just got a AF-S 24/1.4. Quite fun.

    Some more post-mortem. The part that failed was looped through the leather hand grip.


    Like you said, eyelets, no issue. Seems like need to change out the leather grip too.

    Interesting. Yup, looks like the eyelets are fine, it's the grip that caused problems.
