Haha. I think akerue posted this last night. Seller is a new member, joined this month with few posts, all wts or wtb only.

looking at the wts thread, is it the HSM2 or the previous version..

well my honest opinion, the sigma is a good lens, no doubt hsm give us a faster focus and silent, but they lack consistency in wide open sharpness, as it varies copy to copy, that can be solve later in pp, sharpen abit...

well if u prefer good wide open sharpness and dont mind afd than the nikon 80-200 is ya best bet, but if u can live with the down side of the sigma, than the sigma ya choice...

yeah I know it's good. But after getting used to ipod touch interface, if I were to get a touch-screen smartphone (and it's highly likely, coz I already bought the casing and pouch off evilbay ), I would prefer the iPhone.

Somehow the HTC seems a bit unnatural to me. Put it down to personal preference (or herd mentality even... )
    Exploring! :)

actually no issue with afd rite?
why i wan to get 70-200 is due to the nice bokeh and long focal length
so no too sure 80-200 able to give also

    is 80-200 reasonably fast?

actually both iphone and this htc desire is both are capacitive screen ie nice sensitive touch.

For me it's more the interface and the display I think... somehow (perhaps I'm prejudiced) I feel that the HTC and the Samsung Galaxy S displays aren't as 'vibrant' as the iPhone's, even though they are claiming to have superior resolution.

The way the icons and fonts look... somehow the iPhone is more appealing.

example of a bokeh from 80-200 afd 2 touch...

sorry pic a bit low res, taken from fb...

to me is fast enough, not as fast as the vr1/vr2 versions.... not sure abt the DD 80-200, most extensive exp was with the 2 touch 80-200....

try scrolling in the sigma/tamron/tokina sub forum, theres a thread abt the 70-200 sigma...

    fast in what sense bro?
    What you intending to shoot?
AF-S should be faster to focus in this case, but if you don't mind the additional 0.x-1.x second wait to AF lock, then it should be ok.

Galaxy S one like more solid leh. But I'm comparing it to my 3GS.
