When I was at vivo I could easily shoot those subjects... but no lah, I didn't get my zoom for that purpose... Did try to shoot Christmas ornaments being hung up now though... the bokeh is great - hand held and details are all there... plus you can cover the entire huge hanging ornament!...

Heck, I don't even think you can walk around with the 150-500... overkill! lolz

I plan to surprise my kid during his award ceremony this fri with the zoom - he doesn't know about it yet...
why har? He's into long zooms as well?

heheheh yes we all paiseh for you that evening at TCSS session.
But paintball hor... will be hard to get the femmes interested. My gf scared of it after a direct hit 2 years ago left a permanent scar on her upper arm. As for me, I'm not really interested.

I do wanna go back to the Singapore Gun Club (off Lim Chu Kang road) for another round of trap shooting. Wah... that one damn steam sia... but not cheap... $60 for one session (incl 25 rounds) I think...

Aiyah you boys lah... long zoom their eyes big big already... It's quite a normal reaction, trust me. Once he sees the long zoom, I'm trying to get him attracted to what zooms can do, and explain everything about the differences and apertures (he has read up on those, but have not yet put them into practise).... previously the long zoom I have was the 28-80... powderful right?

60 bucks?? That's affordable lah... considering you can't carry guns outside... 60 bucks can get you a few rounds of luge ride at Sentosa... For 25 rounds, more than afforable since you're actually shooting bullets and not paint balls... rounds included somemore... but only for club member right?

I wasn't a member, and my total expenditure for that day was $60.
Includes day membership and lesson on usage and box of 25 rounds.

Subsequent visit is a bit cheaper.
I kinda reckon photography and trap shooting go hand-in-hand. Both require steady hands and quick reaction and instinctive movement

yup, the 80-200... You know me from the start, ever since I went to the NOH, I knew my range was VERY limited... tried shooting the heliborne troops jumping into the see from far far away, 80mm is really peanuts...
