    Talking New firmware for k-5?

    http://www.dpreview.com/news/1010/10...k5firmware.asp

An firmware update so fast? Looks like Pentax is putting in effort to really perfecting the camera. I haven't got my k5 yet, is the number of RAW frames captured in continuous shooting mode = 7fps mentioned in specs?

Looks like I need to learn how to do firmware upgrade.

firmware upgrade should be very easy one...
i believe you own a usb thumb driver? so you know how to copy file...
you have 2 hands? just hold on to a button and turn on the camera...
most important is can read english!
    that is it!

wat if k5 become 8fps?!?! haha... i believe i am dreaming....

it is 7 fps, but there is a limit to the number of raw images you can capture while doing that, i think...

so this would probably increase that limit, but not the shooting speed.

    1. Increases the number of continuous shot at RAW and RAW+ mode.
*Setting condition: RAW(PEF)/ISO100, Increases the number of continuous shot from maximum approx. 8 frames to approx. 20 frames.

    2. Improved stability for general performance.

Going from a buffer of 8 raw files to 20 raw files will allow you to burst for 3 seconds instead of 1 second. A nice improvement.
