Default Euro 2004 shots

Just wanted to share these shots taken off the Euro 2004 Soccernet website.

There are some really keepers in there.

The first shot is a beauty!

Actually I like the 2nd shot the most But since this is abt soccer, lets not detract from the subject...lol. The 1st and 3rd shots are great. Good timing from the photographer there.

If Im not wrong, those shots from behind the net are taken using a remote. I saw those cameras mounted on small tripods behind the net. Excellent perspective I must say.

sorry, OT a bit..

if u watch the match live on TV, u'd notice they actually place all the cameras behind the goal post, on a tripod..

I suppose they shoot using wireless remote? are they just snapping blindly hoping the shots turn out good?

look at pic 1.. i thnk the shot was taken that way?

The behind the goal shots are taken with 1D and 16-35 on remote like this

From BBC website (not sure who really to credit)

Do check out the sports pix from the wire at Yahoo news pix section as well

Strange, how can one pic be credited to Getty and one to Allsport...

Yes the behind the net shots are taken on a remote, usually pocketwizards, sometimes either linked up to conventional releases, foot pedal switches, etc.

The images on the BBC, if not credited, are usually taken from Getty, or alternatively from the PA.
