Just compare the results for Sequential Read and Write. That's the way the card is used when the camera writes data to the card and the computer pulls the data. Pretty obvious that the 30GB/s card doesn't give any advantage here.

Not trying to defend the sandisk but most of the time, the most crucial is the SEQUENTIAL Write value. Your bottleneck when you shoot video or high speed continous is the write speed of the card. Too slow and your camera will need time to "buffer" - finish writing those in the buffer before taking any more.

As you can see, the sandisk has 17mb/s compared to the 11mb/s of the normal kingston. That's a 60% increase in writing speed...

Oops. Seems I read to fast and saw a 17 instead of 11 there. My bad. Yes, the Sandisk is faster there.

So does that mean that SanDisk IS still the better choice over some cards??

My Lexars seemed really off. It really takes a long time! Yesterday morning, I took some photos in jpegs (10 pics) it still took about 3 - 4 mins. I think it is quite ridiculous with such transfer rate!

Lexar might not have local service support from what I read. Why don't you find mac-applicable software to benchmark your lexar, and compare the results with 1) another card. 2) posting from other users? If there's a win version I would be happy to install and post my results too.

Try finding "sdcard benchmarking software" or something, I don't have a mac, so I can't try it for you.

These guys have put up some benchmarks with different card readers, perhaps see if you can find something here... http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/mul...e.asp?cid=6007
