Default Help... PPed some photos in ps, but afterwards...

Hi guys, I need some help here...

I was post-processing some photos in photoshop. They looked great after that. However, once I save the files in jpg format, and view them in some other program (preview in a Mac computer), it looks totally different. The color, the resolution, the contrast... It simply look terrible. I uploaded it onto facebook, where it looked even worse...

What should I do in this case? Thanks a lot.

A few topics that cross my mind:
    - Colour Management / Embedded Profile (ICC)
    - Export settings when writing to jpg
    - Awareness of ICC profiles by browsers and viewers
How much of these are covered already or where you can give a positive answer?

What color space are you using when you save the jpegs? If it isn't sRGB, you need to convert to sRGB before saving.

I agree with that, facebook resamples your images and the quality drops drastically.

can try resizing to 800x600 and upload into facebook again? the difference shouldn't be too drastic.

What I do is resize my photos to 1200 x 800 (could be smaller), Save for Web & Devices set to maximum and then upload it on Facebook. Color and IQ didn't have so much difference.

As for the Mac preview thing: No idea.

Hope it helps even just a bit.

Were you using the same Mac computer for the post-processing?
