Default teleconverters

what's the purpose of teleconverters? what's the difference between teleconverters and close-up filters?

teleconvertors are add-on zoom
close-up filters are like magnifying glass which allows you to take detailed pics close-up

So teleconvertors will be more expensive and sharper rite? how much is one?

teleconvertors are definitely more expensive than close-up filter..
close-up filters we are talking about 2 digit fig..
teleconvertors cheapeast is ard $120, but i think the quality is not so good.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Teleconvertor: U can still zoom to infinity and increase in magnification

Close up lens: Infinity is blur...

Teleconvertors also got 2 digit ones price tags ones....
Olympus C-120 1.9X teleconvertor selling only for $70 at CP.
