    Default Windows Mobile 7

Hi there, anyone planning to give Microsoft another chance?

Been thinking about the Samsung Omnia 7 ...

It looks like they copied the "Panels" idea that SonyEricsson put into the X2.

Not sure, but the HTC Trophy is looking like a good business phone. But for personal use? I'm giving Android my love right now, especially with Angry Birds.

haha. windows 7 is too late already. and the worst part is that they arent gonna let htc hd2 have that winmo7 upgrade cause it doesnt have a certain special "magic" button that i swear i wont use.

Yeah, it's too little too late. It *might* appeal to XBox360 fanatics thanks to it's integration. But give the guys at XDA a few weeks and you'll have it on the HD2, even without the "magic" button.

"The features that WP7 lacks in its initial release reportedly include a file manager, copy and paste functions, full multitasking, Adobe Flash and Silverlight plug-ins in the web browser, and support for tethering, IPsec virtual private network (VPN) security, video calling and Bluetooth file transfers. These are simply startling omissions, arguably, which are likely to put off a lot of potential customers."

    No cut and paste?
    No bluetooth?
    No multitasking?

The big tablet icons filling up the whole phone screen don't make sense.

no cut and paste, bluetooth, external storage, multitasking and most importantly tethering are HUGE issues.

Yup I use tethering quite a lot, it's a neat little feature. Lack of bluetooth doesn't really bother me, but no copy and paste is quite strange.

Happy with Android so far so will stay with that for now. Plus Win7 is aimed at integrating a lot of stuff that i don't use.

iOS didn't have copy and paste or multitasking till recently...

That's a poorly researched article. Saying pixels makes a difference in screen size is really reaching.

The big tablet icons filling up the whole phone screen don't make sense. OK, maybe good for aged phone owners as they need to see big icons and unsteady arthritic fingers can press the big icons better. So if you carry a Windows 7 phone, you can be associated with the very old generation.

This phone got potential as the phone for the aged. This part of population is growing in Sing and Japan. So maybe they got a big market. No bad. Soon we will all be needing this phone. Now I understand what their design is about.
