    No,
I never use dry box for my gear and never have any problems

No, it's not good put your camera in the car,
Main reason is for security, I don't know problems with humidity or something,
    I will not do that

Electric dry cabinet, and make sure you bigger a bigger capacity. The electric dry cabinet will have auto power-saving when the humidity level is achieved.

Dry-box, you will need to change the gel regularly and eventually you will lazy to change and forget about it....thats from my expereince....

Dry box is troublesome...Dry cabinet is more convenient way to store your stuff. You put it this way, You have spent a may $1K for your gear then why dont you invest $118 for your gear to be safe...

Dry box, $100+ dollars for the 30L capacity one and you can simply leave it on and put your stuff inside without having to worry about gel or whatsoever so long there is electricity It will also helps in the long run when your equipments gets more and more...

and keep your camera and lenses in the car under hot sun is definitely is no no, tho it will kill the fungus spore, but it might kill your camera as well.
it is already mention in your little white book call camera user manual. please send some time read this little white book to make full use of your camera and learn how to take good care of it.
