From this morning at AMK Town West Garden
A male Orthetrum sabina sabina (Drury, 1770) ![]() 1/400s f/8.0 iso250, -2 FEC (slightly cropped) Just some leaves... ![]() 1/800s f/5.6 iso250, -2 FEC Sigma 180mm macro with monopod assist

I find side profiles or front profiles of dragonflies more attractive. Maybe shooting from different angle would have been slightly better.
This particular species has very nice eyes. The green and black lines on its body looks very nice from the side view too. Nice contrasty shots and compositions Tim. |

Yup I quite like the 2nd shot too....can imagine a dewdrop falling onto some water below and creating ripples...
