should be ok la. If bad weather I can do some ferrying service from Khatib MRT. At most we forego the landscape shooting and just TCSS and maybe take some food or abstract photos.

I don't mind to be the central point of contact. If anyone doesn't have my contact details, don't hesitate to PM me.

It is the minimum focusing distance that does the trick.... okay, lets say your lens can only focus on anything sharply from 2 meters onwards... anything nearer than 2 meters will be blurred, anything closer will "disappear", so blurr that you can't even notice that it is there... got it? Of course you can't shoot through a wall lah! It will have to be a fence since the wires are thin enough... Hence, when you go shoot at the F1 race... chances are the fence will fall within the 2 meters... but if you stand too far away from the fence and shoot, you'll see the fence... Of course larger aperture like f/2.8 will help greatly as it helps the blurry part even more blurr.

Edit: ZCA is correct on the major part, I'm just adding to his point.

Well, I don't think just going by MFD helps... It has to be coupled with f/2.8 and long FL too! :-)

Many long zooms have similar 1.5m MFD like the 70-200mm, but without the constant apertures of f/2.8... the fences will show. I'm not a pro at this, I've seen what most have used at the F1 shoots on CS, and this is what I've gathered from them... Shoot close to the fence to make them fall outside of the MFD, plus f/2.8... your images will be fence free! Coupled with VR II.... super sharpie!!! All say say only... now if I could have the lens in my bag... LOLz

Some people just doing that because they want others to know that they have that lens... Me? If D3S by itself is heavy... really, what's the 70-200mm with D90?...

Edit: I've been training myself with 3 lenses in my bag that equals roughly that weight...
