He says all his shots previously (when using IR filter) were like LE (few mins), even for those type of shots that would only require handheld if shot normally. Something to do with the ___ filter in the body blocking out most of the IR light.
No problem lah, just wanna ask Weegk since he has take IR as well. And judging from that, it is quite LE also. So, you're right in pointing that out.

But if it can retain enough details at ISO1600, I feel that is good enough for me.
I'm not expecting D3s kind of performance

DX allows me to keep my small-sized lenses, which are easier to lug around.

Bro...wait two years when D7000 is about to sing its swan song then we jump lah! Frankly, how much did you spend by jumping from D80 to D90 har? Cheaper than jumping quite early in its release right?

Slow adopters have their advantages... lolz

The IR Filter actually block most of the visible lights till wavelength of 720um except right which cannot be blocked totally unless you cover with black cloth . . . (then forget about shooting)

i am newbie in IR . . . only can shoot but cannot PP yet . . . cos need to do quite a number of masking etc . . . to me very time consuming. But that is IR.

I spent quite little out of pocket, but then I did "lose" a kit lens in the process. Ended up spending te cash from D80 sale on the Markins and 85/1.8. Hahaha
Ya if I went for D90 early, I'd have spent more
    Exploring! :)
