Thinking Sat early morning gg to Marina Barrage to take sunrise. Firstly, is there a sunrise to take?

Is parking there readily available? Went there when they just open and I remember that the CP are those make-shift-type.
Ain't too clever but definitely not stupid. Hey guys, just wanna learn....

bringing a torchlight reveals scratches more easily?i believe we can't avoid dust totally right? and may i ask how do one open up the aperture to the max and check the lens from front to back by looking through the
    rear lens?

p.s. sorry, i know it's alot of question

To open up the aperture, push the lever tt is found around your lens' rear element. Jus push it lightly, look through it with a torch light/LED light.

Dust cannot be avoided totally 1. Got too much dust around us. Hehe. A torchlight/LED light reveals scratches more easily as it is easier to see!

yes there are sunrise opporunities. If you take out a map and orientate yourself (this is part of sunrise preparation, so you KNOW where the sun is coming out from), you'll know roughly where to be at for the sunrise.
Parking is plentiful at that time. I estimate at least 150 parking lots.

I love the barrage because parking is free and plentiful for sunrise. Once you enter the structure, just turn right and head for the lift. Go the the "R" floor, which is the top...

Once up there and look for the dam, the sunrise should be a little to the right of that, but it changes according to the time of the year... Let me post a few pics to show you where the sun is coming up from...

This is Oct last year... so should be around the same.

    This is June last year.

    And here is mine....

Longtitude, lunitidal interval and UTC offset all set nicely to Singapore. I will be able to tell anyone what is the tide and the moon phase in an instant... No more guesswork! No more "ooohh today high tide hor...". Swee!

Wait... I just realized... my watch color matches bro NNB's tripod gaffer...

Should we put that down as a requirement next time? "Must wear digital watch (preferably G-shock")

    Swee bro! was yours expensive?

Ya should have a prerequisite hor?

was really surprised by the pricing. Always turned off by the >$100 pricing before.

Mine is slightly below $90. Cheap sia... so much cheaper than Mustafa. My old G-shock I bought in mustafa for 90+.... it is smaller, uglier and less functions..

Anyway, I just gave my old G-shock to my dad... seeing how he manage to break all his watches, including the new Tag he just got 2 years ago. Would love to see how long this G-shock will last... forever??
