of course not, unless u got a place to shoot clear from fencing, but later part what if u realize that 200 end is not long enough, some will say just crop, other might not like it... unless u wanna have both worlds, than that might put a huge hole in ya pocket, i would just skip the nikon 70-200 and invest in the sigma 120-300 2.8..... old or new version with OS u still will use a monopod, but u pay a wee lil more for the sigma either version, than the 70-200vrII

    my 2 cents worth...

The closeup images are from 300mm f/4, actually I thought all the images are from 300mm f/4? Not the same as 55-300mm hor... 300mm f/4 is a fixed telephoto lens, not zoom...

Told ya! I didn't say you can't get it in Singapore. Just whether you'd be willing to pay for at least S$350! If you want I can show you where, or even get the EU version for S$288? You want?

It depends on how far you stand away from the fence.
I was standing quite close about 20m and I'm using a 70-200 f/4. The fence almost disappeared.

Frankly, visually no difference - you can't even feel it! But the seller says it is in the material used. Japanese version use better quality material, things like strap will last longer than EU or US models... whether you wanna believe that it's up to you. Say can last longer than 10yrs... but bro... 10 yrs later you probably would get hooked on another newer G-shock then!...
