Smile Lag time between bulb exposure shots

    Hi all,

i recall taking photographs of NDP a month back and while taking bulb exposure shots, i kinda got frustrated with my a230 because it takes really long for it to 'reload' and prepare for the next shot after i complete the exposure for the previous shot.

is there any way to improve the situation, or any specifications i should look out for in the future when i do a body upgrade?

the processing speed is also determined by how fast ur camera can write to ur SD/CF card.. so it may be the card that u are using...

I believe it is because of the in camera long exposure noise reduction processing, you can switch it off and do de-noise at the post.

You turned on your long exposure NR. It takes a second shot to try and cancel out noise in the first. It commonly used by all major DSLR brands. You shold turn it off for fireworks shots.
