    My POV

there is not much time spend on composing your shots.
Anyone with a camera can do it.

And those half eaten food shots are not appetizing at all, to the extent of disgusting.

I am pro "close up" shot person, but yours doesn't do it justice.

Hmm thanks for the critics. It's my first time taking food shots, quite impromptu at that time. I'll look at more pro shots and try to improve on my technique. haha guess there'll be no more half eaten shots!

Hey bro! Great series you got there!

I am a great fan of food photography too!

Although some of the seniors sounded hash, but there are some valid points for improvement.

As for the half eaten food, i think you are trying to show how thick the patty is? i suggest u use a knife to show the cross section next time.

    The wings do look good.

Care to share what type of equipment are you using? Maybe from there we can help to see how can the settings be improved? Let's exchange views along the way!

Oh yup i was trying to show the slight pinkness of the beef patty, although the pinkness wasn't that obvious. Haha. And I was using my 550D with 18-55 kit lens. Keep wondering if a 50 1.8 prime would do a better at these food shots. What you think?

hmm sorry but no, i'm not exactly salivating. while the composition is somewhere around there, though lacking originality, more importantly, the shots are somewhat lacking the oomph that the food at EwF has...
be careful where you focus, and like AK47 said, check your light...
i don't think the colours (pp?) help either, but that's just my preference.

oh and do try the nutella milkshake...
