    Here's my comment on Tripod:

"Don't waste money on cheap, flimsy, unstable tripod that can't support your thousands of dollars of investment. Go for something reasonably good with pricing in the range of $200 and above."

    Here's another comment:

"Read Bro DennisKee's article on tripod and tripod head here."

    Those are my comments

    Cheers!

TS important thing is to know what is the weight of your camera and lens.

This tripod can only hold 3.5kg. Ball head is already 140g... and the bh don't look strong enough for a heavier camera and lens setup.

Check the pricing and see if it is worth it. I kind of know how much the combo cost, and I rather get the Sirui T-1004x with G10 ballhead for $180. Still have left over money to for some makan and drink. Plus the sirui package comes with a bag and 6 years warranty.

I think you should go down and test it out see if the height and everything suits you. And 3.5kg might be a problem if you plan to move on to heavier lenses.

just to comment, this tripod you looking at is quite short. max only at 1.34m. its shorter than the shortest adult i know.

a tripod is a once in a lifetime investment. get a good one and you'll never have to get another (unless you have specific needs like video tripod with wheels, water/sea tripod)

Ya, during Cathay's promotion in June/July 190xprob + 496rc2 combo was selling for less than $280.
