Manual focus film cameras can be stored for the longest time in the dry box. (years...)
When you take them out. They work without fail. Super reliable.

i have the same experiences as with the TS. Phones, hifi, computers, calculator...... all suffered the same fate. My advise is to use them at least once every three months.

my first digital camera minolta was not touched for 5years or so, but it still works! i think every electronic products has their very own "personality" for example, 2 electronic product with the same models have different kind of problems, not all of them are spartan.

if not use long, humidity might corrode the metal contacts...but if your cam is stored properly in dry cabinet, dun reli think will "damage"..

Most electronics fail because the capacitors in them 'dried up'

For Li-On, Li-Po and Li-Fe batteries, it is recommended to keep them for long term storage (3-4 month) at 60% charge

It's not the usage, it's the charge. Especially Li-Ion batteries must be stored at at least 60% charge level and must NOT be discharged deeply (e.g. by slow self-discharge).
