Hmm.. thanks... but I'm not sure what you meant by washout. I'm including the camera settings here for your reference.

Camera Model: Canon PowerShot G2
Firmware: Firmware Version 1.01
Date/Time: 2002.01.26 05:54:53
Shutter speed: 1/40 sec
Aperture: 2.5
Exposure mode: Manual
Flash: Off
Metering mode: Evaluative
Drive mode: Single frame shooting
ISO: 50
Lens: 7.0 to 21.0 mm
Focal length: 21.0 mm
Subject distance: 2.89 m
AF mode: Single AF
Focus point: [center]
Image size: 2272 x 1704
Image quality: Superfine
White balance: Daylight
Saturation: Low
Sharpness: Low
Contrast: Normal

I cropped the image and did an auto-level using PS.

Regards,

The parrots appear to be in the backlight. A little fill flash might have helped?
