    Default Is there such adaptor?

I'm using 500D right now & considering getting a UWA lens.
I might upgrade to FF body in future.

I'm seeing sigma offering 8-16mm, 10-20mm lens, for cropped bodies.

Assumed that i really got a FF body, is there any adaptor to use so that i can use these lens on a FF body in future?

Sorry for this newbie question but i've to think far. (Of coz i know skills are more important =))

not that i know of. But with an extension tube u might be able to, loosing infinity focus.

And here is someone who modified his 10-22 to fit ( on a 1D though, which will still have mount incompatibilities )

The protrusion at the rear of the EF-S can possibly obstruct the mirror assembly of the FF camera, and Canon made it such that u cannot fit them. U probably will damage the mount first before anything.

The lenses made for crop sensors will mostly not produce large enough an image circle for the larger FF sensors ( although some do somewhat but not optimal )

you do not need an adaptor. I think you can directly use Sigma DC lenses on fullframe cameras, only thing is that you will get serious vignetting. Some people say there is a risk of the mirror hitting the rear of some of the lenses.

You can of course crop the image. Some people put a teleconvertor on it to enlarge the centre portion of the image.

If you can go on FF, you should be able to overhaul your lenses ... consider 17-40 or even the 16-35.
