MO: Infared Filter

To all those who are interested, I'll be ordering in P series sized IR Filters. The pricing shld be at around SGD$42 per piece.

Technical Specs: 50% transmission at 720nm going to maximum of 90% from 800nm onwards. Will gradually drop to 50% transmission at around 2000+nm. Size will be 83x83x1.5mm. Hope this is near IR quality, will be getting these from one of the suppliers my company deals with.

*Disclaimer* Should it fail to meet anbody's requirements as IR filter for their cameras, pls do not blame me. I'll be ordering too. MOK is 20 pcs.

Should there be around 20 orders, I might be able to get a more decent price.

I'll be getting the filters as the same size as P series. It's not from Cokin.
hope there are more people interested. It'll be extremely useful to those who are using digital cameras as the ccd is sensitive to IR.

With be sent within 7 days once i place the order.

I am using the A series instead of the P series.

Thus, I will like to know whether if it is possible to order the IR filter of the A series from this thread?

Please advise.

Yup.... A series is possible. The size will then be 3inches by 3inches? correct? If not pls correct me. but the pricewise i cannot be sure of the differences. should be slightly chepaer by a few dollars.

As to reply to willo,

I'm also using the D70 hoping to get infared images without the need to buy expensive IR films.

The filter that i'm getting will require a filter holder (eg cokin Pseris holder). if not i can get a slightly bigger piece for u to hold using ur hands....

took a test shot with canon G1. did a auto levels and a auto contrast in photoshop then followed by scaling.

not too bad. even nokia 7200 also can shoot. the same shot the trees were also white though slightly grainy.

for those who had ordered, just call me or pm me to arrange to meet up. i'm sure u guys wanna play with it asap.
