    what do you mean by flat? i took it in colour then changed to B&W in the camera.

    i try to achieve as much in the camera itself without further editing in the computer.

    Flat = lacking in contrast.

    What you did is no different from shooting it in B&W in-camera.

    What you can achieve best in-camera is only your exposure. Definitely not B&W.

    Even for film B&W photography, each print has to be developed with alot of consideration about the filters, where and how long to burn/dodge etc. It's actually not that simple with digital either, to get a good B&W.

    The others probably didn't mention all this because the image itself already lacks a good subject and hence probably not worthwhile for PP.
