Methods to clean CCD?

Hey u guys can share how you guys get your ccd cleaned? either by Nikon, self cleaning or otherwise.

for self cleaning, do you use a swipe pad thingy? or u just blow?

also, for nikon d100s, do we need that separate power pack thing to keep the shutter open?
