good for those that want a high quality and versatile lens and don't mind the weight and price

If it's anything like the old 35-350L then I wouldn't exactly be describing it as "L quality". The only thing L about the old 35-350L was its price! You might be better off getting a 24-70/2.8L, 70-200/2.8L, and a 1.4x TC for roughly the same price. This combo loses 20mm at the long end, gains 4mm at the wide end, allows you to shoot at F/2.8 from 24-200, and is lighter.

unless u are shooting w/2 bodies, if not, u might not have time to change lens in sec.

About $3800-4000 after discount at the usual places - 2-3 pieces available islandwide.

1. Push/pull design
2. Heavy (like a 70-200IS or slightly more)
3. Overall Feels like a 100-400 but slightly shorter
4. Preliminary test - sharpness OK, but not as good as 100-400 at 300.

A bit heavy for a 'do it all' range but I guess some people may have the muscle (financially and physically....)
