Does anyone here face condensation problems on the external elements of lenses or even on the internal elements within the camera body when moving from an air-conditioned environment to outside temperatures?

This will surely happen based on physic theory. I used to have Prosumer digital SLR, when I move from cold air-con office to outside, there will be a layer of water vapour, when change ot DSLR recently, it also happened, and felt very heartache
. This is how I overcome it, I put the camera in Air tighted container (tupperware), when moving from cold to hot or hot to cold environment, ensure that the camera is in the container, and wait for atleast half to 1 hour before take out the camera from the box to use. ![]() |

Yes, it is a sincere question. I've honestly never experienced it myself but someone else had a query about it on the Nikonians forum. So, I shared my experience, and those who replied made it sound like an extremely serious problem.
Someone wrote, "Those dismissive of condensation has obviously not been to tropical climate." Hahaha... last I checked, I am living in Singapore. I did point out that in most cases, e.g. going from MRT to outside or shopping centres to outside you'll probably not experience any condensation. Has anyone experienced it while coming out from these places? Of course, I know that if you step out from a 10-15 degrees C hotel room out into the open, as the thread starter eventually revealed, then condensation will be a problem... |

Singapore's humidity is extreme, hence the condensation. Unless you live in low humidity area, then you won't have this problem, instead you'll need moisturiser for your face.
