Dun understand some of the winning entries...
Especially those underexposed ones. Isn't an unexposed photo an automatic disqualification?
Can't expose correctly still can win ah?
By underexpose, I mean the whole photo black man, even MC can't see what it is...
well... guess there are the judges's perspectives of the various themes lol
I left early also...hope it would rain next year...anyone pickup the lost the 580ex? Who's the winners?

Life is always waiting for the RIGHT moment...
I am a canon user but Canon Company is the overall winner because no matter how good the photos were taken...they collected $10 from each participant and had a mass "live" advertisment to the public haha... So to me maybe this isn't that much of a photography competition but more of a Canon advert. That's why you guys are required to wear the CANON polo tee throughout the competition right? haha
Just some random thoughts...
I was totally disappointed by some of the short listed entries.... which was chosen even before the many other photographers that queued till outside!!?!?
That was too fast.
I guess to attract the judges are to shoot irrelevant subjects to the given theme.
My pals will not be joining anymore. period.
well.......the 10 bucks i more than get back from the bottles of red bulls i drank. some of the shots they say is very good......i see also don't understand.
Just enjoy the fun.... It is more for the experience....
Shucks... thought I could save money from buying a 7D or 60D... now... got to continue saving some more... hahaha..........................
Art is perception; Perception is art.
Saw a few groups in Carefour earlier, pointing and shooting.
It was totally hilarious when the emcee himself wasn't even wearing that t-shirt when he was constantly reminding everyone to wear it.
Sorry but the most meaningful thing I did was only to bond with my friends and did some strobing.
And I thought the opening of the event where everyone had to shout Canon for no reason was quite ridiculous. No offense to Canon users.
To be honest, some of the ones chosen for 2009 weren't even good or appealing at all. I saw this one in B&W showing a couple walking (the Togetherness theme) and it wasn't interesting at all? Even if subjectiveness was being accounted in, it still wasn't.
Well, I saw alot of people shooting the pond outside Esplanade for Clarity and really wonder how they would make their shots appealing... and faith seems to be all about religion etc etc? When it doesn't have to be religion at all?
I shot a guy preparing to sprint for charge though.... guess it wasn't chosen... since I left straight after submission of third photo...
where can i see the photo of winner?
this is my first year joining it and well, i wasn't very disappointed as I have expected it... shall not elaborate anymore... i joined because of some other reasons.
one man's meat maybe another's poison.
imo, photography is like a kind of personal art. you take the picture, you like it can already.
there are million other photography hobbyists around, you cant possibly please each and every one of them.
yeap, true...but i have to laugh........if these were the qualities of the winning entries (havent seen them yet), would canon really use them for promo?
anyone got any photos of the winning shots?
