Default How sharp do you want?

This big question of how sharp do you want, or how sharp is sharp enough? It also depends on how big do you print, or how big do you see your image on the monitor. If you're printing only 4R or the occasional 8R, most of the time, that lens might be good enough if you keep to brightly lit outdoor scenes and flash lit pictures indoors.

In other words, in high contrast situations, that lens performs well and that is good for most beginner amateur. I have used for a while the Tamron 28-200XR and the performance is about the same. I have tried this lens for a short while.

And if you're using a dSLR, all the more the need for sharper optics is even more essential due to the 1.5x cropping factor.
