Botanic Gardens. There's this tree in the open area close to the main entrance which has a branch that is almost horizontal and not too far off the ground.

I thought tree climbing in Singapore is banned? Or can you get a licence like for bar-top dancing?

Aren't there ants or any insects on the trees?

No its the other side nearer the holland/napier entrance. Its in a field next to swan lake. And do watch out for ants.

Last time I went, checked out the tree before climbing... no ants... however, there were quite a lot of them on the field...

Hey thks! Ok, I roughly know where Swan Lake is. Will look out for the tree the next time!
Yup, my dd gets huge red patches with insect bites, so will be extra careful to make sure
no ants before letting her climb! She's been bugging me to let her climb a tree after
reading a book about a girl and her friends who climbed a tree!
Kids are so deprived these days, aren't they? Relish the good-oh Kampong days, anyone?

Agree. I thinks its a sad indication of the place we live in when you have to post on an internet forum to find a suitable tree to climb.... Last time, just walk outside, and pick any tree.
