Nikon has officially unveiled the D3100, an entry-level digital SLR that's the first from Nikon to capture video at 1080p resolution, as well as the first from any digital SLR maker to offer continuous autofocus operation while video is being recorded. The camera is built around a 14.2MP DX-size CMOS sensor and has an 11-point AF system, 3fps burst rate, ISO range of 100-3200 (plus 6400 and 12,800) and new EXPEED 2 image processing.
