    Hi all,

    I was trying around my new CPL filter.. Still learning though..
    Anyone wanna share how to use a CPL filter the proper way?

    Screw on, turn the ring according your taste / preferred result. What else?
    Hint: if there is nothing to filter in the first place then the result is Zero ... But I guess you have read already about filtering light, right?

    not very sure what you're asking .. lol.. but yup, i think its quite fool-proof technology this CPL..

    Sorry but not to make fun...but is there a proper way other than to screw it on and take pictures.

    A CPL is most effective when you are at right angles to the suns's rays.

    At high noon, a CPL should be effective at just about all compass points since the sun is more or less directly overhead. At sunrise/set, the more the sun is at a right angle to where you're looking then the more effective it should be.

    One way to understand where the maximum effect will occur is the "rule of thumb"... literally. Point your index finger at the sun and hold your thumb out at a 90˚ angle from the index finger. Now rotate your wrist keeping the index finger pointing at the sun. The thumb will point in the directions where polarization is most effective.

    Or watch 3D movies with it?

    If u're refering to photography (which obviously u are), Numnumball has the best layman explanation of how u use it.
